Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is an open world action-adventure video game set within Tolkien's legendarium, developed byMonolith Productions and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
The story of the game takes place between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The players control Talion, a ranger who was killed by the Black Hand of Sauron. Talion's spirit merged with the wraith of the Elf Lord Celebrimbor, and together they try to avenge the death of their loved ones. Players can engage in melee combat, and utilize some of the wraith abilities to fight against enemies. The game uses the Nemesis System, which allows the artificial intelligence of non-playable characters to remember the death of the game's protagonist and react accordingly.
Completion Requirements[]
- Beat the game (there are no difficulty settings)
- Collect all Ithildin and Artifacts from the world.
- Complete all Outcast Rescue missions
- Complete all 10 Legend missions for each weapon (Sword, Bow and Dagger)
- Complete all Survival Challenges (herbs) and Hunting Challenges
Completion Tips[]
The Outcast Rescue missions won't necessarily appear on the map, you need to rescue a slave with a fist symbol above their head to unlock the mission.
To find the animals for the later stages of the Hunting Challenges, explore in the second zone: Dire Caragors look similar to regular Caragors, but they have a health bar over their head similar to a captain or Warchief. Ghul Matrons can only be found at night, either in caves or by fighting Ghuls as they appear in the open.
